Victorian Opal and Old Cut Diamond Brooch Chalcedony likely from the 1970sA spectacular opal and diamond brooch, circa 1870, crafted in 18ct gold and silver and designed to dazzle. At its heart sits an impressive opal of approximately 20 carats, displaying a magnificent play of colour, encircled by around 5 carats of old mine cut diamonds in HJ colour and VS2SI clarity. This extraordinary jewel is a true Victorian showpiece. The brooch is 4cm x 3. 1cm and is fitted with a safety chain.
