Victorian Memento Mori Hair Mourning Brooch vintage beach bunny brand - Helen Harper1855 mourning brooch in gold and black that says "IN MEMORY OF" on the front frame around the window that shows 2 bits of hair, plus maybe some gold curls? Not sure what else is in there. The back is etched with "EGD & PGD December 23, 1855, Look to Christ Live to Christ Give Up All for Christ". One has to assume these people died together on the same day. A couple? A mother and baby? No way to know, but certainly a rare example of mourning jewelry
